Varenna is a very easy destination to reach, with good airport, train & motorway links from Milan & Lecco.

Within spitting distance of Bellagio, a favourite for lake visitors, Varenna's medieval cobbled streets, gives you a true insight to it's Roman origins.

Sitting on the Eastern shore of Lake Como, it has frequent trains running between Bergamo - Lecco and between Lecco - Varenna on the Milan - Sondrio/Tirano line.

Milan has three airports - all of which are between 1.20 - 1.40 mins drive away but the most convenient of the three for Varenna, is Milan Bergamo (Orio al Serio) where Ryanair flies into.

We love Lake Como which is simply the reason we decided to buy a property, which we also rent out.

We are addicted to the style, the way of life and thought this an excellent experience for our growing children.

The scenery is spectacular, the ambience amazing and the different times of the year reveal the true nature of the Lake. In the summer, everybody opens, tables and chairs outside of cafes and restaurants and people travel from all over the world to sample its delights. In winter, its peaceful and stunning with snow on the mountain tops. So skiing is close at hand which we love.

We also have a passion for water skiing and own a ski boat moored on the lake. So roll on summer and winter!
